about me

I received my Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest and oldest health coaching school and a leader in integrative health and nutrition. I also have a certificate in Plant-based Nutrition from eCornell and a CulinaryRx certificate from the Rouxbe Culinary School. I’m a collage artist & printmaker and enjoy integrating my love of collage into my coaching work. Currently, I am working towards my certificate as a SoulCollage® facilitator and have completed coursework in therapeutic arts for life coaches.

In my former life, I was a professional user experience designer and researcher working mostly in the healthcare, technology, financial services, and advertising industries.  My work required me to listen to people and ask questions in order to gain an understanding of who they were and what their motivations and pain points were. I used this information to determine how to design online applications that people would find simple, easy, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. The qualities that make for a good user experience practitioner include empathy, compassion, understanding, a desire to help others, and an ability to listen deeply without judgment or bias. Not unlike a health coach.

When I’m not coaching, creating art or foraging in thrift and antique shops for collage fodder, I enjoy spending time with my two cats, reading, singing, sightseeing, yoga, meditation, taking walks in nature, going to the theatre, concerts, art galleries and museums, enjoying the company of like-minded people, and finding restaurants that enable me to enjoy delicious whole food meals, mostly plant-based.
